Incipio Atlas iPhone 5 case Review

Incipio Atlas iPhone 5 case Review

Nick Guy Incipio unveiled Atlas for iPhone 5 ($80-$90) at the 2013 CES, and we were so impressed with it that it won a Best of Show Award. The case is Incipio s take on the slim, ultra-rugged, waterproof case made popular by LifeProof with cases such as Frē. While it s essentially the same size - just a bit thicker - as LifeProof s iPhone 5 case, the materials and overall feel are different. The plastic and rubber case is made to withstand pretty much anything you throw at it, without adding serious bulk or complexity. Atlas ships with a cleaning cloth and headphone extender…

IPhone cases 6

The bigger they come, the harder they fall. Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus sports a 5.5-inch display and that rounded body looks potentially slippery to us. It’s a slim device and even with the promise of “ion-strengthened” glass we can already hear the sound of cracking displays as they hit the sidewalk. Why take the chance? Peruse the iPhone 6 Plus cases that are flooding onto the market and get the style and protection you need. The Layered Dandy series of cases from Verus is meant to provide storage and protection. Each c

Good iPhone cases

All eyes were on the iPhone 7 as it strutted down Apple’s California-based catwalk. This is a beautiful smartphone with an elegant design, but it’s a fragile beauty that needs to be protected. If you expose your iPhone to the world, there’s a significant chance it’s going to get damaged. All it takes is a single slip and you can end up with a ding, scuff, or crack that will likely spoil those good looks. Thankfully, the right case will provide your iPhone 7 with the style and protection it needs. Check out a few of our current favorites below. A super-successful Indiegogo campaign…

Speck iPhone cases Review

Both Sal and myself have experienced a cracked iPhone screen within the past couple of months. In my case my son grabbed the iPhone from me and then threw it (he’s less than two years old so I excuse that behavior) and in Sal’s case, it went for a pretty big fall. Sal previously detailed his experience and walked us through dealing with it by placing an anti-glare screen cover on it. Of course, that’s how you “deal with it”, but how can you prevent it from ever occurring? Back in July I wrote about how my wife’s iPhone withstood a 55 mph drive thanks to the Otterbox impact series…

Hex iPhone case Review

Using the Hex Solo Wallet (iPhone 6 and 6s; $40 on Amazon) is a joy. Featuring a unibody design and a leather exterior that gives it a unique look and feel, this wallet case is very easy to install and use. It’s our current favorite, even despite a couple of small issues. Design and Use As a snap-on case, putting the Solo Wallet on your iPhone goes fast—and once it’s on there, you’ll enjoy wide openings for buttons and ports. At the back of the case are two slots that exert a tight hold on anything you put in them—so tight that sometimes you’ll have trouble pulling cards out…

IPhone Charging case Reviews

While the iPhone 7 design isn’t that different to the older iPhone 6 or 6s it is sufficiently changed that you’ll likely need a new case for your new phone, and that includes battery cases for the iPhone 7. The iPhone 7 is the same size (138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1mm) as the 6s but slightly (5g) lighter; it’s 9g heavier and a little fatter than the 6 (138.1 x 67 x 6.9mm). The design change that means you need a new case for the iPhone 7 is the larger camera bump on the back. iPhone 7 Plus users will have a similar need for a new case, with its new dual back-camera. So when Apple changed…

LifeProof iPhone cases Reviews

I purchased my 1st Lifeproof for my 5, then 5S, then 6+. After 2 years on the 6+ it was getting pretty worn and I was worried about it failing at the wrong time so I bought another. I m not sure why, but they redid the case. My initial thought was Great! Even better! . Not so. The outgoing sound is muffled and unusable without headphones or a Bluetooth speaker. I haven t had the mic issues some report, but the speakers sound as if they are behind a loose piece of tin: Muffled, whiney, with vibration. Thinking it was the specific case, I returned it and got another. Same issue…

Click To View Slideshow» You re going to want one of these, especially if you ve opted for that easy-scratch jet-black finish. The iPhone 7 is probably the most controversial iPhone so far. The removal of the headphone jack has caused dissension amongst even the PCMag staff. But whether you re on Team AirPods, are going to try to make life work with the Lightning adapter, or just use the EarPods that come with the phone, you need something to protect your new phone. We ve got you covered, so to speak. If you ve gone for the jet black finish, you might want to hold off using…

Yellow Jacket iPhone case Review

The creators of Yellow Jacket, a unique combination of smartphone case and stun gun, think this product could be the answer to New York City s most frequent crime: iPhone theft. Legalize our device and [it] would stop overnight, says co-founder and CEO Sean Simone. The Yellow Jacket is a pretty basic rubber iPhone case that snaps on to a larger attachment; it holds a battery pack and electric prongs. The device takes about four hours to get to full charge. After that, the Yellow Jacket can be used to double the battery life of an iPhone or zap a wannabe mugger about 50 times…

Vaja iPhone case Review

FACT: The iPhone is the most popular camera in the world. This morning I have something a little different. I lve my cases and accessories for my cameras and if you guys know me well, you know I love my iPhone cases as well. I have tried a couple of them out already and this one from Vaja is the best one I have tried, for me. It is sleek, slim, feels luxurious, hand-made in Argentina and has protection for the front and back of your phone. The coolest part of this case is that it is unlike any other case made for the iPhone 5 to date. There is simply NO BULK. There is not a…

Best iPhone case Brands

Click To View Slideshow» These are the coolest cases you ll find for the Apple iPhone 5s. And they re all compatible with the iPhone 5 too. Though Apple has since moved on to the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6s, the iPhone 5s remains a solid smartphone that should appeal to those who want a smaller device. You get a still-speedy 64-bit A7 CPU with motion coprocessor, Touch ID fingerprint sensor, and an improved camera with a larger image sensor and aperture, dual LED flash, and burst shooting capability. The design of the phone itself, however, remains largely unchanged from the…
